The Library Foundation of Los Angeles The Library Foundation of Los Angeles supports and enriches the capabilities, resources and services of the Los Angeles Public Library. The Foundation accomplishes its mission through fundraising, advocacy and innovative programs that benefit the diverse Southern California community and promote greater awareness of the Library’s valuable resources. The Foundation’s dream is to transform Los Angeles and the world through the power of our libraries.
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals LA spcaLA is an independent, nonprofit animal welfare organization serving Southern California since 1877. Donations run programs and services including Cruelty Investigation, Disaster Animal Response Team, Humane Education and a variety of shelter services.
Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is a nonprofit, academic, pediatric medical center. They provide the highest quality healthcare for children who are the sickest and most seriously injured. Each year, they treat more than 93,000 children who need care that is so complex, it can only be provided by medical experts.
Los Angeles County Bar Foundation For more than 40 years, the Los Angeles County Bar Foundation has been at the forefront of supporting equal access to legal services for the poor. The Foundation raises money and distributes it to worthy legal services organizations in Los Angeles County. With the help of volunteer lawyers and the financial support of law firms, foundations, corporations, and individual lawyers throughout the area, the Foundation has contributed to the growth of highly effective, non-profit organizations providing legal services to the most needy in our community.
Casa de las Amigas Casa de las Amigas offers the hope of recovery for women with alcohol or drug addiction. Through a time-tested, integrated program of healing for body and mind, women find a productive, responsible, and sober life.
Inner City Law Center Inner City Law Center has been serving the poorest and most vulnerable individuals and families in Los Angeles County since 1980. Founded on the basic principle that every human being should be treated with dignity and respect at all times, ICLC, through its staff of over 30 attorneys, advocates, tenant organizers, social workers, and other professionals, provides free legal representation and social service advocacy to over 2,000 homeless and working poor clients each year.
